Times Tables or Multiplication Tables as they are also known, are really the building blocks of mathematics. Like your ABC, everyone should try to master the times tables. The first step to teaching your children Multiplication basics is to explain what Multiplication really is. Multiplication is basically adding a number together as many times as the number is multiplied by. Therefore if the Multiplication question is 86, you are merely adding 8 together 6 times. Multiplication Tables through songs and tricks is an excellent way to introduce your kids to Tables. Children will be singing their way through times tables in no time at all with this animated CD which has been developed specifically to teach kids to memorise their Multiplication Tables. It's so easy! Some tricks.. 2 is just doubling the number. The same as adding the number to itself. 22=4, 23=6, 24=8, etc. 5 has a pattern: 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. It always ends in either a 0 or a 5. 10 is maybe the easiest of them all ... just put a zero after it. 102=20, 103=30, 104=40, etc.
